reached as to the need of a. special
election in the twelfth
District now that J. Edwin Brai-
nard, elected from that district, is
Lieutenant Governor. The Lieuten-
ant Goxernor talked over the mat-
ter with Governor Trumbull' Wednes-
day but without result. the opinion
being it is understood that there
seemed to be no demand for an elec-
tion in the district.
Under the opinion of Attorney
General Healy. Mr. Brainard is
Lieutenant Governor and has no
\ote as a. Senator in the Senate.
