David Ester-son has picked one of
the best shows ever offered at the
local house. La Pallcla Troupe is
hcadiining the bill in a new operatic
offering. This‘act has been one of
the season‘s New York hits. The
German and Wilson Sisters, well-
known entertainers and Paul Brady
regarded as one of the best singers
in vaudeville will appear, in two
others of the five-act bill. The fea-
ture picture attraction for the last
half of the tveek will be “Hold Your

Betty Compson is the latest “semen
star to bob her hair. She declares
that it took her a year and a half to
decide to do it and that for three
days afterwards she cried. Butpnow
she is glad that it is cut and says
that she'll never~have long hair
again. Despite the fact that long
hair is said to be woman's crowning
glory, the Winsome Betty declares
that she would rather have a bob

Who Came Back" is an actress who
has achieved more success within a

Miss Mackaill came to the screen
about three years ago and already
she has been starred in several pic-
tures and has appeared as leading
lady for Richard Barthelmess. Miss
Mackaiii was born in Hull, England.
and began her career'as a dancer in
the London Hippdrome. She came
to the screen via the channel which
prcduced Mae Murray and many
other motion pictures celebrities—
