Hirsch, who died suddenly yesterthy
morning in his home on Hubbard

was a. love for performing ' philan-
desire to help those less fortunate
than himself his beneficent nature
had resulted in the dispensation of
favors to many peeple. The source of
his benefactions were always hidden
from the public‘s gaze and the'total

He was intereszed in education and:
music and was deeply interested in“
the Boy Scout and was a former
member of the local Council and of
the Court of Honor. betorewhlch the
Scouts appear to pass examinations
for Scout honors. He was also deeply
interested in the musical organiza-
tions at the city. .
He was born in New ‘York city
May 2. 1859 and after graduation
from the College of the City of New
York became junior partner of the
Oppenheime firm and later senior
partner." Mr. Hirsch was a. director
of the Stamford Savings Bank. one
