weight champion. knocxed out Jock
Malone or St. Paul in the sixth
round of a scheduled ten round bout
here tonight. \Vilson had the better
of the going in the early rounds and
sent Malone down for a count of
eight in the second with an attack to
the head which opened an old cut.
Malone came back strongly and
was forcing the fighting in the
sixth when the former title holder
landed a slashing left to the pit of
the stomach. At the count of ten
Malone was unable to rise. \Vilaon
weighed 159 1-3 and Malone 154 1-2.
