The town school beard met again
on Saturday night last to further
prepare for the presentation of the
school needs before the public at the
special town meeting on the four-
teenth of the month. The several
committees on Site. Building and
Transportation made their prelimin-
ary reports, and each showed satis-
factory. progress. There are 195
children to be enrolled in the dis~
lrlct schools September next. and.
to give them proper housing and
teaching is the problem which con-
fronts the town. The Hurlbutt
street school. with accommodations
for 25 pupils. will have to provide
for 87. In Mlddlebrook and Kent
also there will be eve rowding. In
the Chestnut Hill dis rict the dim-
culty of obtaining a teacher is most
serious as no boarding place can be
found for her.
