when Coach George Connors was
taken to the St. Raphaels' Hospital
{or an operation for appendicitis.

Verdi tomorrow and he will be un-
able to leave that institution
college track season.
Taken In This Week.
Connors was taken ill tai‘ly this
week but his condition was much im-
proved yesterday. Today. however,
recurring symptoms made it impera-
tive that an operation be performed
at once. There are no complications
and his complete recovery is expect-
ed.
Connors came to Yale last fall as
football trainer and track coach af-
ter two decades of successful coach-
ing at Exetre. He succeeded John
Mack. who died suddenly last sum-
mer.
. Under his coat-hing the Yale track
itcam last Saturday defeated Prince-
-ton decisively and was beaten by
:Pcnnsylvnnia two weeks ago by only
.a. quarter point in the triangular
lmcet with Pennsylvania and Dart-
mouth. He was loaned last {all to
Yale but this spring at Ynli-‘s re-
