ty of new ideas presented in this
production and they are offered in
the characteristic Lloyd way which
means that they provide a. full 100
per cent. of wholesome entertain-
ment. The girls will like “Girl
Shy" and the boys will like it too
and tiiikgoes as well for the girls
and boys of yesteryear as those who
are stepping with the flapper: and
cake eaters today. Then also the
little folks will get many exciting
moments out'of the picture and as
usual with Lloyd attractions there
is not a moment of objectionable

disappearing sect called "Catskill

a. new negro actor. and a. group of
short plays produced by "little
theatre" groups from all parts of
the country are included for good
measure. These and a rather un-
usual bill of fine films make the
season fairly interesting.
“Peg 0’ My Dreams" was fash-
ioned by Hartley Manners from his
play about the little Irish lass who
finds herself among the aristocrats
and holds her own. Anne Caldwell
has not done very well with her
lyrics, and Hugo Felix might con-
ceivably have written better music
without much efiort. In fact ex-
cept that it has been tastefully stag-
ed, and the new Peg, a. Miss Keen-
er, has a beautiful voice which she
uses well, there is little to recom-
mend the new play.’ G. P. Huntley
it is true. is amusing in an exag-
gerated way, and he is hilariously
entertaining in a. gold- fish episode
and a. telephone monologue, but the
former, at least. has" no bearing on
the story or the play which makes
it all the more significant when the
audience tookllis foolery with such
manifest evidence of appreciation, as
they did when a. nimble little girl
danced and turned herself into all
sorts of cart- wheels and boneless
acrobats. The story holds to the
original with a. certain fidelity, and
there are some interesting musical
numbers and some very gracegul
chorus girls. The cast, howeverkis
weak, and there is a. complete ab-
sense of the Irish charm which has
always been associated with Peg.
Instead, the added features .30 as
far astry as Russia to add some
novelty, andwhen it is all over we
remember only our disappoint-
ment, the amusing Afr. Huntley, the
agile Misses Vite: and Lee. and the
melodious Miss" Keener. But as
"Peg 0’ My Heart” it is hash.
