mont, at the corner or Paris Avenue
and Forty-Second Street. New York
City. has been bought from the In-
ter-borough Rapid Transit Co. by
.Wllliam Ziegler, Jr.. of Great Island
Darien, heir of the late William
Ziegler, known as they

$6,000,000. has been taken over by
Mr. Ziegler for investment. He
gave in part payment his residence
at 2 to 6 East Sixty-third Street.

the Interborough. through a sub-

interests. which is now nearing

There were rumors recently-that
the hotel soon would be altered in-
to an office structure to meet the
great demand for business space in
the Grand Central Terminal section.

property has but a short time still
to run. with sale or the property lg

lowing a series of conferences be-
tween Senator Thomas F. \Valsh. of
Montana, ranking Democratic mem~
her or the Senate Public’ Lands Corn-
mlttee. and other members of the
oil inquiry committee. it was stated
today that there will be no
change in the program for next
week‘s procedure. ""
The committee. comencing Mon-
day. will place in its records the
names or every public official who
can be shown to have traded in oil
stocks from the time that the naval
oil reserves were transferred to thw—
Intcrior Department from the Navy
Department until the committee be-
gan its inquiry. This inquiry. mem-
bers of thencommittee say. will not
be confined to Sinclair and Doheuy
corporations, of necessity. but will
cover any and all oil stocks which
might have been manipulated by a
group with headquarters in “‘nsh-
ington.
