Mrs. Frances Maher Mrs. John Fleming and baby
Mother of three and with but a small income. Mrs. Frances Maher
of San Francisco sold her fourth to Mrs. John Fleming. a childless
woman. Later Mrs. Maher yearned for the baby and asked court to
return him. declaring that such a sale and contract was nothing
compared to mother love. Mrs. Fleming, touched by Mrs. Muller’s
cntrcatics, returned the child as a holiday gift.
