A successful masigucradc dance
was livid last night in lit-d Men's
hall. :35 Main strait. by Vl'anoma
Council, No. 31, Degree of Poca-
hontas, l. O. R. M. In spite of in-
'clcmunt weather, the dance was at-
tended by a large number of mem-
bers and friends. .
More than half of the merry—
makers were in costume. Many were
unique and original.
The feature at the dance was the
grand match which was led by Miss
Rowe and J. William Rowe dressed
in colonial costume. Prizes for the
best dressed couple ’were awarded to
Mrs. lcubcn Booth and Mrs. Arthur
Coley. They were dressed as Jock-
eys. The prizes for the most comi-
cal couple went to Mrs. Susie 'Wocd
and Mrs. J. “’illiam Rowe. The lat—
ter two appeared in a, double-face
costume. The judges were Post-
master C. Irving Bylngton. John D.
Milne and R. W. Sweeney. Jr. Music
for the dance was furnished by
