W. Engel. senior. vice-president of
the Metro Pictures Corporation, was
arrested here late yesterday in con-
nection with the seizure of a. con-
signment of liquor valued at $30,000
alleged to have been shipped to him
from New York in boxes used for
shipping films.
The liquor. it was charged. was
shipped from New York in a pack-
ing case labbeled "Motion Picture
Films— Handle With Care."
Engle was released on 82.000 bail
and was granted thirty day’s stay in
the hearing.
