Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Clock of
Prospect avenue. Darlen. who cele-
'brated their golden wedding anni-
versary yesterday week had over
seventy friends and relatives at
their home. including three children
and fourteen grandchildren. Mr.
and Mrs. Clock. received three ‘huu-
dred dollars in gold besides many
other beautiful presents. The cou-
pie have lived in Barton all their
life. Mrs. Clock was daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Henry Morehouse.
The Rev. Snowden. former pastor of
the Darien Congregational church,
conducted the cerem'ony fifty years
ago and the young couple went to
Springfield. Mass" on their honey—
moon. ’1‘th have alwaystakcn an
active part in community affairs. Mr.
Clock was a well-knewn meat deal-
er in the town and retired from bus-
iness twenty years ago. The house
was decorated with chrysanthemums
and autumn leaves. The children
