Theater today. The showings open-
ed on Monday and tonight’s "rows

will doubtless be attended by capaci-
ty audiences. Miss Dean is one of
the most popular screen stars with
Palace audien s and in this new
vehicle she 11 added new laurels
and it possible won her way to high-
er place than ever before held in the
hearts 0! the Nor-walk picture pa-
trons. "Drifting" is the kind or a
story that finds a very general appeal
and as it has been brought to the
screen by Miss Dean it stands out by
itself among the season's rel uses as
a vehicle meriting very special con-
sideration. The added attrachcn on
the Palace bill, Reginald Denny's
“Leather Pushers" is not by any
means a minor subject as Palace pa-
trons will testify and it has pleased
the large audiences of the past two
days in a very positive mam-er.

ceiied its initial screening in Nor-
walk at the Rialto theater yesterday.
is far out of the ordinary. It lives
up to the press agent's claims for it
and far exceeds them in gorgeous-
ness of settings and costumes and in
the spectacular element which runs
through it. The continuity was pre-
pared by John Lynch from Vincents
Blasco Ibanez's latest novel; it was
directed in Monte Carlo, Nice and
Paris by Allan Crosand. one of the
screen's foremost directors.
Altogether “Enemies of Women."
is a picture that will entertain and
thrill. It rewards the eye with as
many pictorial beautie‘s as it does the
emotions with its dramatic story.
The picture will be repeated again
today. tomorrow and Friday.
