cruiting station at the Cit! Hall
Room 5 to enlist new men and to re-
enlist Ex-servicc men. omco hours
will be from 9 A. M. to 6 P. M. every
day. ‘

the Naval service and knows all

schools open for men enlisting in the
Navy the Machinist's Electrical. rs-
dio. coppersmith's. yeoman. and
musician schools. After eight weeks
training at the Naval ‘Training sta-
tion the recruit is sent to any of the
above trade" schools if he chooses. if
he don't chooee to go to a trade
school he is then sent to s. ship for
further training for his Naval career,
and by the time his enlistment ex-
pires he has Visited famous places
seen interesting people practiced a
trade and has received good pay.
The following ratings are now
open for men first enlisting: appren-
tice scaman. fireman third class,
hospital apprentice first and second
class, musicians second class, pattern
maker second class. Machinist's
mate second class, motor Machin-
ist's mate second class. blacksmith
second class. boilermakers second
class. coppersmith second class.
Ex-service men may re-enlist in
any of the fifty-five trades that are
practiced in the Navy.

one interested should call and talk

Arthur Bloom of Kew Canaan

when he was knocked down by an
automobile owned and driven by
Leon Hunt of Westport at Nash's
Corner. \‘i‘cstport. last week.
Bloom. who was waiting for ‘a
trolley. stepped out into the road as
the car approached; a machine
coming from the opposite direction
knackcd him down and dragged him
a considerable distance. He was
taken to the Notwalk hospital.
where it. was found that he was se-
verely cut about the face. hands and
feet. Today at the hospital he was
reported as resting comfortably. He
will probably be confined to the in-
stitution for a week or more. .
