Joseph Machalka, 35 ct Connecti-
cut. avenue, today is in the Norwalk
hospital suffering from s. pcsslblb
fracture of the skull. contusions and
abrasions as the result of an auto-
mobile accident. which happened
yesterday afternoon in Ridizefleld.
Others injured in the accident and
who suffered bruises and cuts or the
face were Casey Hennessey. well
known football player and Joseph
Connolly. 'l‘wo others in the same
machine escaped injury.
The party left Norwalk early yes-
terday morning to gather mush-
’ rooms along the Ridgefleld road. As
they were returning, the claim. a.
woman driver crashed into their ma-
chine when she cut into them on the
road. It is alleged the woman drove
away so quickly that they could not.
ascertain the number on her car.
The State police are endeavorlng to
locate the woman.

passengers captive until the two least
