tion regarding the condition of the
main trunk lines leading to are

The open fishing and hunting sea-
sons coincide with the “'inter va-
cation season. Salt-water fish may
be caught throughout the year and
no license is required. The season
for wild turkeys. of which there are
many in Florida. is from Nov. 20 to
Feb. 15. This is also the open sea-
son for deer. for quail and (with
some exceptions) for squirrel. The
grouse season is from Nov. 20 to
.Dee. 19. There is no closed season
on bear. Ducks. geese. plover. snipe.

The question of the form and name
of the new Turkish state. which
must be settled before Turkey is able
to resume fun diplomatic relations
with the rest of the world. is abeorbe
ing attention here. and in Angora.
_ It is virtually certain that Turkey
will be declared a republic. the head
of the government being either a
president or a chief of state. as in
Poland. The first occupant of the ex-
ecutive office is expected to be Mus-
tapha Reina! Pasha. who in a recent
interview said that Turkey was al-i
ready a republic except in name. and
constitution. and might soon become
even more Democratic. The seat of
the government is also a question of
wide discussioa which will be deter-
mined concurrentiy with the design-
ation of the state.
