The Lockwood- ag:ln defeated the
Ipringwoods yesterday. Emmons
pitching for the Clover team only
allowed seven scattered hits. The
score of the game was 8-2. Kuhlman
who was on the mound :or the
Bpringwoods was hit hard at times.
Tlckey was back the game for
the Springwoods and Cole who has
been doing the catching for the
Bprlngwoods during the greater part
of the present season was placed out
in right field. lils poor piaylng in the
position coupled with the hard hit-
ting of the Loekwoods was respon-
sible lor the defeat of the Hill top
crowd.
Neither side scored up until the
fourth inning. when each team push-
ed a run over the plate. in the tilth
the Lockwoods scored four runs and
sewed the game up. They scored one
in the sixth and two in the eighth.
The best that the Springwoods could
do was the score once again in the
sixth inning.
