September 1. Mr. Leary announced

The new building is one of the
most complete in 'the state. built in
Old English architecture.

baths.
Down stairs is the main gymnas-
ium. boy's locker room. shower. rrnd—
ing room, nnd assembly room and
three bowling alleys.
On the twp floor is an auditorium
seating 400 people. This room is fit-
ted with a stage for amateur then-
tricals. and two moving picture ma-
chines and a screen have already
been installed. The women's de-
partment, which will run under the
direction of the \Vomen's Town lm- ;
provement Aunt-iation is also on this ,

say. the physical director. are both
graduates of Springfield College.
Leary graduated in 1917. He was
first in charge of a Y. M. C. A. in
Newark. N. J. During the war he
was a Lieutenant in the infantry.
Afterwards he went to Boston. and
in May 1919 commenced work in
the Newton. Maria. Y. M. C. A. as
community secretary. which position
he held until called to Westport.
