About 80 Kiwanians from this city
made the trip to New Haven Wed-
nesday to attend the state outing of
the Kiwanis club. held at Double
beach.

Kiwanis members from all over
the state were present. A special
program of athletic events was ar-
ranged for the affair. A baseball
game was played between the Kl-
wanis clubs of New Haven and Hart-
ford. Owing‘ to the fact that a num-
ber of the players on the local Ki-
wanis team could not make the trip
to New Haven. the local team did
not play. '

Chairman Charles Minis was in
charge of the local delegation. There
was no luncheon yesterday at the
Country club.
' Mayor Philips. of Stam-
ford. made a speech. Prominent
men including 8. I". Woodcock. New
Haven: Toastmaster Spencer Ber-
ger. New Haven: Mayor Atwatcr.
Bridgeport: Ex-Mayor Buckingham.
Bridgeport; Judge William Larkin.
Waterbury. and Secretary Benjamin
Barker. ot the Kiwanis New Eng-
land District. also delivered addres-
