82 degrees is encountered consistent
ly in any part of the country. The
Oakland tull pressure lubricating
system takes care at m bearings
and engine under all working condi-
tions either up or down hills.
That the oil goes .in where it is
needed is indicated by the 15.000
mile written ‘guarantce given with,
the car against. what is commonly
known as oil pumping. This guar-
antee has cost the company approx-
imatcly one cent a car since it was
inaugurated two years ago.
Menace in Dodging
Ditches at Night
“When passing other cars on a
narrow road at night one generally
allows as much room as possible
without running into the ditch. Due
to the inability to clearly see the
ditch. however a perpetual menace is
presented. 0! course. a spotlight,
trained to the ground toward the
righthand side and a little distance
ahead. will eliminate many 0! the
dangers. A small mirror tastionod to
a rod and attached to the right
headlight bracket will act as a spot-
light and will reflect some of the
light rays toward the ditch. The
mirror should be slightly tilted
downward so that the light is
directed toward the ground."
