An accident occured yesterday

morning about 5: 40 o'clock at the cor-
ner of Brookside avenue and the Post
Road. when a Ford car. owned by the
Modern Electric Company of Stamford
and driien by“ Albert Copeland. of
Itamford. smashed into a large tr ck
owned by the Underwood Typewrit as:
Company. Incorporated. of Hartford.
Copeland. the driver of the Ford was
badly injured and was taken to the
Stamford Hospital by Constable Harry
Palmer. whcre it was follnd he had a
dislocated hip. He also received a cut.
on his head and it. was necessary to
take four stlchcs in it. After the. sc-
cident it was found he had no driver's
license. his case will come up in the
Town Court. as soon as he is remoxed
from the hospital.
