Smallest Horse Dead
FREMONT. Neb.. May 26.—“’l‘lny.”
the world's smallest horse is dead. He
laundered the other day and was
found dead in his stall.
"Tiny" was eight years old. weighed
ninety-six pounds. stood twenty- tour
inches high and measured three teat
tron nose to tail. He wasn't a Shet-
land. as generally supposed. but came
from genuine horse stock. according
to his owner, Otto Schlueter.
When he was born he wasn't much
bigger than a good sized cat "and-he
was much smaller than a. Newfounth
land dog when he was lull grown.
"Tiny" had been exhibited over the
west and in many eastern states. hav-
ing traveled with carnival companies
and circusee in the summer time with
vaudeville companies in the winter.
Vacation is coming and then the
teachers will earn enough money to
teach on again next year.
