Club
A number of plans for the future:
were discussed at a meeting of the.
South Norwalk Boat club when! last
evening at the club quarters. Pen-j
mission is to be asked of the Govern-
ment to run a pier out from the end
of the clubhouse proper.
A wreath or flowers was orpered
sent to George ‘LeCates a member of
the club whose wite passed away on
Tuesday afternoon. It was also‘voted
to send a. letter of thanks to Mrs.

It was decided not to hold any
formal opening of true club on Me-
morial Day as was first planned. the
formal opening. with a shore dinner

Grade School
Track Meet
The grade schools at the city had
their track meet Tuesday. May 22. at
Amusement Park. Miss Gladys E.
_Thompson. the supervisor ot health
’educatlon. was in charge. Mr. Cilflord
o! the senior high school was the
starter. William 0. Taylor. also of the
senior high school. John Kane and
Albert McMurray from the junior high
schools were the judges.
Each school was represented by
both. a girls' and boys' team chosen
from the tourth. fifth and sixth grades.
In the girls' relay or pass ball relay.
the teams winning the semi-finals were
lFitch. Brookside. Rowayton. Wash-
ington and Jefferson.
The finals will be run off in the ex-
hibition on Friday evening. June 1 at
the stale armory. There will be no ad-
mittance without a. ticket. ‘Those In-
(crested may secure tickets from Miss
Thompson at the senior high school.
