for the Memorial Hospital in New
York city where he is to undergo an
operation on Thursday .norning on
one of his ears. 1
About three years ago while diving
at Falrflold Bosch Mr. Hollywood
strlck his head on a submerged buoy.
and the ear drum was split. allowing
water to penetrate. He has received
treatment from time to time, but his
condition had not improved.
An operation was thought necessary
to save his hearing and he left yes-
terday morning. Dr. David Beach.
an ear and eye specialist will perform
the operation and Mr. Hollywood ex-
pects to be in the hospital for about
two weeks.
