of hospitalization
veterans and wasted huge

money, according- to a'report of a.
special committee of
experts made
public by Secretary of the Treasury
Mellon.
The 360 million dollars expended
since~the close of the war has been so
unwisely used, it was declared, that
many of the hospitals used,
it was
declared. that many of the hospitals
constructed cannot be
utilized and
new buildings will have to be erected
at great expense.
Had the government adopted a. na-
tional Dian along the same lines as
that now being adopted by the investi-
gation committee the big problem now
confronting it would be solved and all
the disabled men would be properly
housed and well looked after. it was
pointed out.
