Before quitting his duties .as an or-
dcrly in Jacobi‘s Sanitarium yester-
day afternoon, a. man who gave his
name to the police as Tony Miller. is
alleged to have rifled the pockets of
other attendants' clothes to the an "
tent or $21. The modey has been re-
covered and the man lodged in a cell.
awaiting his arraignment before the
city court this morning on a charge of
robbery.
Miller had left the place but a.
few minutes when the robbery was
disemered. A nurse immediatelyrsum-
moned the police and gave a. de-
scription of him. He was picked up
afew hours later on State Street and
brought to the station where he was
grilled by Detective Sergeant James
Hefternan. He confessed to the rob-
bery when the money was found on
his person.
Miller had been employed in the
sanitorium but a short tithe. and. ac‘
cording to hospital aflend’ants. had
come to this country from Germany
a. few months ago. -

talities recently. On February 19.
Andrew Backer-ts of Cheshire was
fatally injured. and on February 20.
Miss Cornelia Holcomb. a local high
schoolteacher. was killed by the
same street car. The coroner inti-
mates "jay naiking" was responsible
for both fatalities.
