CHICAGO, March 5.-—-A family of
six was wiped out by hydrocyanic
acid. used by health authorities in
fumigating a. soda. drink parlor to-
day. '

for a. water pipew hich the health
authorities failed to notice when they
sealed the room, and filled the apart-
ment where the family was sleeping.
Vinccnze Ingiese, or East Nor-walk,
on behalf of himselt and the minor
children has brought actlon in the
Superior court against his wife. He
charges that in 1921 he purchased
property in Charles B. street .from
savings from his earnings; that two
years later he intended to convey a
one-half interest to his wife. but as
he could not understand or read
English the transfer complete was
made out in her favor.
{ His wife and her son by a. former
marriage have beaten him and pro-
hibited him from his premises, he
says. also charging that in August,
1916. he gave his wife. $2,500 to bank
for him. She bought property in
' Knapp street instead and sold the
‘ same for $3.500 a. Year ago. Prior
to the commencement of his uc‘inn
for the recovery of his {WWW from
his wife. he placed $1.400 for him-
self and five minor children in the
South Norwalk Trust Co.. and declares
that his wife secured the bank book
by unlawful means. '
