During the course of a. family
quarrel in one of the apartments
owned by Harris & Gaps, adjoining
their coal offices on Water street,
about 9 o‘clock Saturday night. the
people scuffling knocked mer a frying
pan on the stove with the result that
the grease flare up. An excited
passp'rby sent in n alarm to the
Central Fire station and the appar-
atus responded. The fire had been
extinguished when the firemen ar-
rivrd. and they returned to the sta-
tion.
