when they will be visited by charms:

tertain them. Little Red Riding
Head. Cinderella. Little Boy Blue,
Hansel and Greta! and the Gypsy

dance nad sing for the ediflcation of
the kiddies whose knowledge or the
fairies through books is great. who
have not had the opportunity. here-
tofore ,to see them in person. En-
tertainment or the most appealing
sort is going to be used to furnish the
youngsters through the “Fairy Tale
Follies,” and'act which is appearing
at the Palace Theatre the latter part
of this week. »
The “Fairy Tale Follies." as its
name implies, involves characters
from Fairyland and furnishes a
whimsical entertainment, some of
whim is composed of modern songs
and dances, centered about the heroes
of childhood song and story. The
management of the not were only too
glad to do their hit by going through
another show for the children. The
management of the Palace Theatre
will arrange for the transportation of
the fairies to the home in Westport
Avenue
It will be a rare treat for the chil-
dren. Little minds will have a. new
subject to ponder on because of the
kindness of a group of actors and
the thoughtfulness of the theatrical

During the evening Mr. A. M. Briggs
Assistant Vice President or Piedmont
College gave a short outline or the
sonnel or the student body and the
means or support. The present en-
rollment is 280 men and women. one-
third of which are entirely paying
their own way thrdugh. and many
others are partially earning their ex-
penses. In the midst of a. great area
of the South Piedmont is the only
moderately priced college. It serves
those that have very little to spend on
their education. and on the modest
sum of $259 a. year it gives an educa-
tion equal to any other standard col-
lege. In the past ten years its hold-
lags have Increased in urine from ten
thousand to over a halt a. million dol-
lars. its buildings from eigllt to
eighteen, and it is now giving some
twenty courses in the sciences. The
annual budget of the college is $90-
000 which is met by aids from the
Home Missionary Societies of 812. 000.
and the balance must be met by sub-
scriptions and gifts it the work is to
‘lcoxitlnue. It is to secure the necessary
‘support from its friends in the North
that this interesting quartet is touring
New England at this time.
