Inaders’ Council Meets at Nichols
The Leaders' Council of the Fair-
fieid County Y. WI. 0. A. met at
Nichols last Tuesday evening. A com-
mittee of ladies served a. very excel-
lent supper In the business session
which followed the supper, a11-
nouncement was made of the com—
pletion of the camp Mohawk dining
hall: the dates of the County Boys‘
Conference—~March 10th and 17th;
and the inter-group contest. which
begins the first week in February.

and Country Dept. of the Intel-ha-
tional Committee was the guest of
honor. er'. Maydole discussed the
topic: “Y. M. C. A. Group \Vork“ as
a. Team Game." Mr. Maydole brought
ut many fine points in connection
th the relationship between the
County Committee, the local commit-
tees and the several groups. and in
turn "the relationship of group mem—
bers to these other factors in the
work; A very interesting period of
games ‘elosed the evening. The next
meeting of the Lenders" Council‘ will
he held on February 20111.
Big Plans on Foot for Sixth Annual
Older Boys’ Conference
The Sixth Annual Older Boys' Con-
ference of Fairlield County is to be
held in Slrnlford on March 16th and
17lh. These gatherings have in-
creased in interest through the years.
The plans for the gathering this year
are well under way. Rev. John L.
Davis of New Britain. leader of Ev-
eryman's Bible Class. with a mem-
bership of over 1,500. has been so-
cured as the principal speaker of the
conference. The committee of Local
Arrangements at Strntl‘ord is making
plans to give entertainment to the
out-oh lonn delegates and to take
care of the banquet and luncheon

ary, the County Y. M. C. A. Groups
or Cmnecticut will enter upon a
series of indoor physical tests. The
events in this contest ,will be: stand-
ing broad jump; standing high jump:
and target throw with darts. The
standing at the groups will be ascer—
tained on the basis of the average
record of each group. There will be
two classes—Junior and Senior. the
Junior; being composed of boys up
to the age of fifteen.

Interesting Meeting
The Danbury Older Boys' Council
held a meeting at the First Congrega-
tional Church, Danbury, last Tuesday.
Following the business session. Rev.
