This statement was made at the last
weekly luncheon nleeting of the Nor-
walk Kiwanis club. by C. L. Campbell
of Waterbury. treasurer of the Con-
necticut Light and Power Company.
Mr. Campbell also added. pointedly.
that his company proposed a total in-
vestment of more than $25,000,000 in
order to furnish this community with
adequate electric current for light and
power. "We are betting on the fu-
ture industrial prosperity of Connecti—
cut and especially Norwalk." Mr.
Campbell added.
Money talks It is true that Nor-
walk has natural advantages. These
have been pointed out. from time to
time in the columns of the Sentinel.
And a big public utility corporation.
such as the Connecticut Light and
Power Company. doesn't invest mil-
lions in a proposition without apretty
good idea. of what is likely to happen
in the near future—whether we want
it or not
Norwalk is bound to grow. indus-
trially. It should grow in many other
ways. and it will it the leading men
of the community put their shoulders
to the wheel of progress The Kiwa-

right direction—but it is onLy a step-
