The Sundav school superintendent
and pastor wish to thank the mem-
bers of the cast and the committees
who did so much to make the presen-
tation of. the Miracle play the success
that it.was. .
There will be no Sunday club meet-
ing tomorrow. but the first ression of
the new year will be held Jan. 7th.
The Sunday school held its annual
entertainment last Thursday evening
and, despite tlw snow. there were
present over 100 members hnd fiends.
Those who could not come last Thurs-
day will be able to get their candy
and oranges from the Sunday school
office tomorrow. .
Tomorrow evening the rervice will
be greatly'added to by the presence
of the ~men's chorus from the Darlen
Congregational church. This chorus
has been heard here before. and will.
undoubtedly. draw a large number of
people who appreciate good male
chorus work. In addition to the spe-
cial singing. a decidedly new inova-
tion will be introduced . into the
church life of this city. when. Charles
De Coutely 'oi.’ the Western Electric
Company will have installed and op—
eratinga receiving radio set. anti .his
equipped with a' loud speaking cuifit.
will receive the very excellent mind“
and lectures that will be trowcaated
on New Year's eve.

The New Hax en railroad in an
effort to reduce congestion on its
lines and connecting roads, has em-
bargoed freight at all its western
gateways and at junction points with
the Boston 8.: Albany road. So
much freight for the road is being
held on the Boston & Maine that no
more is being accepted.
The embargo indicates that this ac-
cumulation, with others in various
sections or the state is to be moved.
