trolley car in which he was riding
from New Haven to Bridgeport. Mc-
Coy. against whom a warrant was
sworn out Octobr'19. was held in I
bond of 31.000 The charge of em~
bezzlement was preferred by August
F. Linahan of New Haven. who al-
leges that he gave McCoy 83.500 in
securities to invest for him. He said
that his money was never returned.

The Margaret M. .Weymss. the four-
masted schooner from Boston. which
has been discharging a cargo of
southern pine at the Hatch & Bailey
docks for the past two weeks. was
towed out of the local harbor this
morning at high water by the tug
Theodore Smith. The schooner was
towed to the outer harbor where
another tug took it in tow to_New
York. At New York the schooner will
go into dr‘y dock for cleaning and "re-
pairs.

brought out all the children. of the
town with their sleds. Quite a. num-
ber enjoyed the sliding on the Mans-
field avenue hill. Usually sliding is
prohibited on the Mansfield avenue
hill. but as yet the selectmen have not
banned the sliding.

ler's bridge met Tuesday evening in

mittee reports progress but as yet no
definite action has been taken.
