sion of "Ebb Tide" than the one which

telling of a. story. “That reminds me"
is your likely to start a story more
‘engrossing than the one just told.
In “Ebb Tide" 3 white man has
killed his wife and his best friend and
buried them on a South Sea island
under a caption that proclaims their
infidelity to him.
_ A later episode makes it clear that
he‘dmd Wrongly suspected them.
This man rules over the island. the
only other white inhabitant being his
daughter. He has vowed to kill any
white man who might set eyes upon
her.
Three human derelicts drift to the
island and the casual m‘o‘vie stuff {ol-
luws. One. a former English gentle—
man. lalls in love with the crazy fel-
low‘s daughter at first sight. He
fights through fire and water for her
and wins her, of course. Her father
is killed and there's nothing to pre-
vent a happy ending. .
Now it would have been far more
interesting if the life of the two
white men and the woman, the wife
of one or them on that
island had been shown. “'hat led up
to the husband's wrongful suspicion?
How did they happen there, anyway?
All of.that would have made simple.
