Grove cemetery. The funeral services
will be simple and public. Judge Gus-
taf B. Carlson. who was counsel for
Schutte. was in communication yester-
day with Rudolph Schutte. and in-
formed him that members of the fam-
ily could attend the funeral if. they
desired. It is expected that some of
the sons will be there and it is also
likely that Mrs. Schutte will attend
the services.
The body was taken away by the
undertaker soon after the hanging.

At a meeting held last night. the

parade and reception.
It was also voted to aid the Red
Cross in its annual roll call on Sunday.
November 12. Arrangements were
made to invite the Veterans of Foreign
Wars to the next post meeting.
The American Legion Auxiliary held
a meeting at which arrangements to
entertain the V. F'. W. at the next ses-
sion were made. It. too. voted to help
the Red Cross.‘ The auxiliary also
made arrangements to hold a cake
sale on November 4 in the Norwalk

Following the regular meetings. the
Godfrey Post was the guest of the
Auxiliary which entertained in splen-
did fashion. Dancing was in order and
refreshments served.

Alleging that she was deserted by
her husband one week after they were
married. Violet Elida Ward of
Bridgeport, has filed an action for
divorce against Harry Richard Ward
of Groton. In her complaint, the
plaintiff sets out that she was max'rled
October 8.1917 and that on October
15 following, her husband left her.
Three other divorces were filed with
the clerk of Superior court yesterday.
