mercury. Down came the tempera-
ture. 17 degrees in four hours. Start-
ing' with s. record of 70 degrees at 4
o'clock in the afternoon. the mercury
fell to 53 degrees at 8 o'clock.
The barometer is resting‘at 30.00
at sea level. Weather prophecies for
the next few days say "Clear and
