Meek, drugs from Mrs. Stowe. shirts
and shoes from Mrs. Morgan. three
dozen samples of Mellcn‘s food. Sev-
' era] ladies of the town have been knit-
ting sweaters, the dispensary furnish-
ing theiwool, and these will be used
during the coming,r winter. Gifts of
money from Miss Ferry and George
T. Hill were reported. also the gener—
ous donation of $50 by the Industrial
Baseball League from their season's
chceipts. The general public will have
an opportunity to show their ln:crcsi
in the dispensary when 111-1 annual sale
of Xmas seals takes place the fiist
week in December.
In addition to its regular work the
dispensary during the summer rur-
nlshes the Norwalk Board of Health
wltlive. visiting nurse to help maintain
a good standard of health in on, com-

had pleaded guilty to the charge of
issuing a. fraudulent check for 325
last December, a. fine of $50 was im-
posed upon Dillon C. VVilioughby, a
noted civil engneer, by Judge Caplan
in City Court. today. \Villoughby was
his own counsel and lpied!) a plea in
his own behalf.
