condition of the schools and their op-

You will recall that my last month's
report commented on the bright and
cheerful condition or the buildings
caused by extra cleaning and paint-

good conditions of our school homes
from this viewpoint while I speck of
the great disadvantages in another
line.

school. we have three grade rooms in
this building—e. fourthfe fifth and a
sixth grade—end they are all large.

cared for elsewhere. the Franklin

Junior High pupils. There is no place
else to house these three grade rooms,
since all rooms within walking dis-
tance are full, 1. e.. at Washington.
Lincoln, Concord and Knudsen.
This makes it clear that the school
children now in this section of the
city cannot be handled with greatest
efficiency with our present equipment
or buildings If this year's growth in
school population keeps pace with the
last. it menus that we must have more
school room here or put several hun-
dred children on port time.
The crowded condition atthe Cen-
ter school. with my pupils of the
Ixth and seventh trodes tucked into
such buildings as have spore sent; is an
old story. .The condition there should
be remedied before another school
year by providing for the houflng or
all children or thst district in their
own school house.~ That would neces-
sitate either an addition to the pub
ent building or on additional! braiding.

The Ladlec‘ Aid Society of the
church will make a new departure in
holding their monthly meeting at the
church tonight at. 7:30 o'clock. in-
stead of this afternoon. Attempt has
been made to notify all members of
the importince of this meeting and to
secure a general attendance or all. A
fair of some ambitious proportions is
in prospect and the thought and plans
of all members is needed.
Tomorrow evening at 7:45 the mid-
week service will be held. The peti-
ue to be the subject of the meetings;
tomorrow evening the them being
“Our Daily Bread." Following the
meeting or the general committee of
representatives tram the dines-eat so-
cieties appointed to arrange for s. fair
will be held at 8:30 o'clock. All mem-

once of his wife and four women got
decrees on this ground. Seven men

fidelity and two on ground of in-
