A further visit to the City Hall to-
day brought to light still more d18-
gruntled tax payers who could not
understand Why their rates had been
increased about 50 per cent., as they
claimed.
As a matter or fact the tax rate in
the Second District is 22 8-10 mills.
against 20 6-10 mills last year. But
there is a “deficit tax" of 5 {6-100
mills added to this tax. which brings
the. Sceond District tax up to
28 25-100 mills this year.
