son the data was sought. it is consid-
ered likely that it had- something to
do with a. survey resulting in Post-

President Harding yesterday that a
thoroughly organized fleet of 50.000
motor vehicles could be mobilized
within twenty-four hours for mail
transportation if the railway shop-
men's strike should interfere with the
service.
The request of the Department of
Agriculture came in the form of a
Questionnaire the latter part of June.

indicated that similar information
was being sought in other States of,
