State Highway Commissioner Charles
J. ionnett and First Selectman Aus-
tin \Vakeman of \Vestport have. been
discussing the proposed changes ‘l the
new State- road. The chief considera-
tion is the New Creek bridge. There
are two propositions. first to Widen the
present structure. and second. to build
a new bridge. Selectman \Vakeman
is trying to determine whether the
State will stand the entire expense of
the bridge or Whether the town will
he burdened with the erpense. It is
likely that a new bridge will be built
there.
