swered. "But you know what will

just as we did. Shall we try it?”

Geesee. Raggedy Ann and Raggedy
Andy thought it would he the best
thing to do. so Geegee brought a. large
stick and poked it in the cogowheels
or the Merry-go-round. Immediately
the Mine Pie Merry-go-round stopped
and again the legs of all the candy
animals broke '0!!! and scattered the
animals all about the field. And
when things stopped rolling, who
should Raggedy Ann and Andy see
but old Mister Mlnky sitting upon the
ground holding his head. _

"Ouch. my head!" he howled. "I
bumped it on the hard back of the
candy horse and indeed. our friends
could see that Minkie had a. large
bump upon his head.

"Poor Minkie.” Raggedy Ann cried.
she felt so sorry for Minkie.she for-
got the. trouble he had caused her.
She forgot all about Mlnky having her
Wishing Pebble. All Raggedy Ann
thought of was helping him if she
could. so she ran to him and lifted
him to his feet.

“When Minky saw that it was Rag—
gedy Ann. was he grateful for her
sympathy? Not even a Meny. wceny
bit. Instead. he slumps-d his foot and
criad. "You did it. Raggedy Ann. It
was you who made the Merry-go-
round whirl so fist and it was you
who stopped it and made me fly off
and bump my head. I'll teach you."
And with this. the naughty litllc fol-

her under his arm. “Catch him."

Raggedy Andy. it is easy for anyone

very hard for them to got out. and
