Mrs. Croft. an attractive young
women of twenty—eight. and a sister-
in-law of Orville Harrold, Metropoli-
tan Opera tenor and a vaudeville
hutdllner. is also a singer.
She said she introduced Mrs.
Evans to Pullman after she herself
had purchased fifty shares of the
stock at $1 a share and after Pull-
man had promised her a 20 per
cent commission on all sales.
Both women said Pullman had
told them the company had, sold
40,000 cars to the Mexican Govern-
ment and that a dividend had al-
ready been paid to the 8.000 stock-
holders. Mrs. Evans said she bought
100 shares at $2 a share.
Mrs. Evans said her husband told
her the stock was not all it should
be.
