trusts representing property in every

' WALLINGFORD. April 10.—At
- the meeting of the Board of Mana-
gels of the Masonic Charity Founda-
tion last week. it‘was unanimously
voted to turn the entire dairy herd of
fifty cattle at the Masonic Home here
over to the State to be killed in ac—
cordance with the law governing the
disposition of tuberculosis cattle.
The Masonic Home has been work-
ing for twenty-one years to develop
this herd, and many of the animals
were thoroughbred , and registered
' stock. The bill was presented to the
Home by Colonel W'iillam H. Hall. of
\Villinglon a few years ago and at
that time the donor valued the ani—
mal at 820.000.
(The hard was used to furnish milk.
butter and beef to the Home. none
of the producebeing sold. Tubercu-
losis was discovered by the butcher
of the Home in January. when he
slaughtered a steer for beef. The~
managers requested the‘ State to
make an examination lot the herd
with the result that Saturday's‘ report
showed every one of the fifty cattle
reacted to the tuberculin test.
