ridden as well as paper bats were
distributed among the dancers. In a
few minutes. the air was filled with
confetti and men-intent reigned su~
preme. '
The streamers. intermixed with the
decorations of the hull and aided by
the colored hats. made the hall a
handsome spectacle. This was par-
ticuiarly true when the lights were
turned out during the dancing and
three colored spot-lights were flashed
upon the crowd which surged back
and forth to the music.
The music for the dancing was fur-
nishcd by the Cleft Club orchestra of
New York City. and was the best
heard in Norwalk in some timc. The
orchestra was on the job every minute
of the time with all of the latest dance
sclections.
During the evening refreshments
consisting of punch and ice cream
were served.
The joint committee in charge con-
