chine guns of peace. pneumatic rive-
ters. are rattling day and night in the
former war harbor of Kiel. where a
score of large commercial ships are
under construction. Tile majority of
them for~ use in the campaign Ger-
many is waging for contro’l of the
maritime commerce of the world.
All of the great shipyards are ac—
tive. but not all of them are working
toward increasing the‘German com-

is negligible. and the Germans are
willing to work.
The mouth of the Kaiser Wilhelm
