now in the hour of dire distress and
perplexity; and we shall be pardoned
for requesting such to give earnest

Facing this group were the cake and
pastry table. in charge of Mrs. Edward
I“. Smith; and the Japanese fancy
booth. cared foF‘ by Miss Ruth Clary.
The candy kitchen. where many vari-
ties of home made candy were to be
had. was arranged by Mrs. Ellis Tay-
lor. In. the east parlor were the par-
cel post and Larkin booths. and the
former in charge. of Miss Ellen Bohan-
min. was the. center of delight for
the, many youngsters who .just had to
guy the most possible for their dimes.

posed to be worth at least. ten cents.
and o'ten was discovered to he. a. bar-
gain at that price. In the Larkin
hooth was to be found a selected as-
sortn.€nt of household necessities. and
many availed themselves of the. 0p-
portunity.of purchasing useful articles.
The Maxwell Brush Compam' was re-
presented. and had on display a com-
plete line of their wares
\Yhilc there were very gratifying
salt-s at every booth. there yet remain
a great many articles to be sold to-
night. This will be the last night of
the fair. as at present arranged. and
as Mrs Frank I. Bradbury is pre-
paring three more of those delicious
fresh barns. and every boothkeeper is
bringing out her best articles for this
evening. there will undoubtedly be a
larger attendance than at the first
evening.
The cafeteria will serve at 5:30 on-
waid to 7:30. and the prices will be
the some as last evening. Music for
the evening was furnished by the
local High School Orchestra. under
special arrangement. Ice Cream was
scncd throughout the evening from
the Iceland regions. in charge of Mrs.
Archie F. Nash. The affair was the
result of the committee headed by the
President of the Women’s Associa-
tion. Mrs. E. G. Huntington. and the
funds raised last evening and tonight
will he used for the work of that As-
soclation.
