ans’ Club of Norwalk. at the Nor-walk
Country club yesterday afternoon.
‘About 32 attended the meeting and

luncheon. The decorations were ex-
tremely pretty, consisting of wild

flowers. there being a quantity of wild
asters. this being the color of the
club. Rev. Mr. Jacobs spoke of the
new spirit of the tlmes, especially
with relation to Norwalk- He Spoke
or the interest taken by women—act-
lve interest—in the affairs of the city;
lng done for the
community benefit and of the work of
the Home and School league. WhICh
has done much to bring the work or
the children to the attention of the
parents and other interests. He spoke
of the added attraction to Norwalk
that Calf Pasture Beach would prove
to be. and he also said that a commun-
ity of Boosters. would do much to-
wards helplng make Norwalk 3 still
more attractive place to live In.
Miss Margaret R. Breudllnger. presid-
ent of the club. at the opening of the
meeting spoke briefly of the past
work )t‘ the club and congratulated
the. members ‘on what. they had
done. The luncheon. served bv
Steward Frank Hollywood was great-
ly enjoyed. , Mrs. William Raye was
chairman of the committee in charge
of the luncheon.

luncheon this afternoon at the Nor-
walk Country club. the affair being
