haps some of the tubes are clogged:

removing the radiator and have it
tested at the some time. see that all

inside, Sometimes they break up on
the inside and prevent proper circula-
tion. Run engine with spark advanc-
ed as much as possible without knock-
ing‘ and cut the carburetor inllkiure'
down as much as you can.

ago I overhauled the engine. putting
ill new rings. resenting the engine
block for valves. putting in new valv-
es. grinding same in. tightening up all
four bearings so that the machine had
to be towed to get started. After run-
ning about a week it began to knock
while engine was running and ma-
chillo in neutral. I took the bottom
plate of! and tightened the bearings
again. and last week it. began to knock.
again. On taking it dow I found
that the bolts holding the engine; bass
to frame. also those in front by crank
handle, were loose. and I tightened
