CHICAGO. June 23 (By The A-o-
elated l'resa).—'l‘he Einstein theory of
relativity is to be subjected to a new
practical teat by Prof. Albert A. Mi-
chelson. of the University of Chicago.
whose discoveries led to its formula-
tion. The forthcoming experiment is
expected either to lend substantial
support to the theory or to di_sp-rove
it.

ing at the t'niveraity of Paris. is ex-

But what happens at the present time? The immigrant always fol-
lows in the wake of his countrymen. He settles into muses, indigestible,
with almost. no chance for American influences—even for knowledge of
America—to touch him. He inc-eases food prices, he raises the tax on
court: and public institutions, he infra-es mu, spreads disease and
lowers the wage rate.

But if immigration wae evenly distributed, with the immigrant living
where his labor is needed, most of these evils would be eliminated auto-
matically and most of the immigration problem would simply disappear.
